Imagine a world where tackling a football player can kill them and send you to jail. Imagine a world where people swallow cocktails of viruses every week to protect themselves from bacteria. A world that follows naturally form today. This anthology of short fiction by undergraduates at IISC Bangalore explores the insidious crisis of antimicrobial resistance with stories set across India and the world, as our continued misuse of antibiotics encourages bacteria to develop defences against them – slowly but surely.
